COVID Vaccine Now Available at Hyde Park Pediatrics

We’re pleased to announce COVID vaccines will arrive the week of October 13th, we’ll be offering the updated COVID vaccine for all children ages 6 months through 18 years.

At this time, we will not be holding separate COVID vaccine clinics, but the vaccine will be available during routine office visits. Vaccines for children over age 5 are available at most local pharmacies and at the following vaccine clinics: 

Boston Children's Hospital will be offering the COVID vaccine for children ages 6 months and up, Monday through Friday at their Longwood Campus. Patients can schedule an appointment in 2 ways:

  • Online through the MyChildren's Patient Portal: You can schedule the appointment yourself by logging in to the patient portal.
  • By phone: Call the Vaccine Clinic scheduling line at 617-919-7102.

Boston Public Health Commission will be offering clinics around Boston, including Hyde Park for all ages. Please see link below.

Who Should Receive the COVID Vaccine?

Ages 6–23 months

  • Complete the age-appropriate primary series if not fully vaccinated.
  • If the primary series is complete, give one updated dose at least 8 weeks after the last dose.

Ages 2–18 years

  • Children with high-risk medical conditions or household contacts at high risk
  • Residents of congregate or long-term care settings
  • Healthy, unvaccinated children
  • Immunocompromised patients

This year’s COVID Vaccine can be given to healthy, previously vaccinated children who would like additional coverage.
